Overview

Cisco Data Center Networking Infrastructure-2 (DCNI-2) is a 5-day hands-on course that teaches you how to implement an enterprise Data Center routing and switching infrastructure with the next-generation Cisco Nexus product family and includes an overview of the FCoE. This course provides a technical overview of the Nexus platform architecture, deployment, and operations, including Virtual Device Contexts, Layer 2, QoS, and security. You will explore the features of NX-OS and the Nexus platform by performing hands-on labs using a solution level topology.

At Course Completion

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: -Describe Supervisor Engine and Line Card Module features. -Describe the Connectivity Management Processor. -Describe the basic architecture of NX-OS. -Explain NX-OS Process Recovery. -Explain NX-OS Supervisor Redundance. -Describe the Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) protocol. -Deploy, configure and troubleshoot data center networks using the Cisco Nexus Platform Family including the Cisco Nexus 7000, 5000, and 2000. -Understand the enhancements associated with the Cisco NX-OS Software. -Understand product placement for the Cisco Nexus Platform Family. -Describe the migration of data center architectures, including unified I/O and unified fabric.

Pre-Requisites

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1) or equivalent.
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND2) or equivalent.
Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN) or equivalent.
